Houses

The semi-detached houses in the Arturo Soria area normally form part of small housing estates consisting of between four and twelve houses. They all have their own garden, which is smaller if there are also communal areas. On the larger estates there is normally a garden area, a playground for children, a swimming pool and in some cases a paddle-tennis court. Their layout is as follows:

Ground floor:

• Porch.
• Hall, with hall wardrobe. This is where the stairs to the first floor are situated.
• Lounge-dining room, with a porch which leads out onto the private garden. Its size normally makes it possible to give a distinct character to the living room and dining area.
• Kitchen, fitted with furniture and very often with the basic white goods too. Its size makes it possible to set aside an area for office use.
• Additional/guests' toilet.

First floor:

• Three or four bedrooms, all with fitted wardrobes. There are normally one or more wardrobes outside the bedrooms.
• Two complete bathrooms, one adjoining the main bedroom, often finished in marble.
• The heating and hot water are individual with a natural-gas-fired boiler.

In many cases there is a usable space under the roof, equivalent to a second floor, which can be used as an additional living area or as a further bedroom with its own bathroom. Lighting can be provided by installing windows in the roof.

There are either one or two parking spaces in the road, or in a basement if the dwellings have been constructed as an association and thus have shared underground areas.

The monthly rent for this type of dwelling ranges between 1.800 and 6.000 Euros, depending basically on the situation, size of the property, useful space and whether the roof space has been converted or not.
